Juvenile Court Programs
The Mediation Center works with the Buncombe County juvenile court court counselors to offer services in truancy, victim-offender and conflict mediation
Truancy Mediation involves individual Guided Problem Solving sessions with students on a diversion contract. Guided Problem Solving gives youth an opportunity to look toward their future and create life goals.
Victim Offender Mediation allows victims to voluntarily face their offenders and have a meaningful discussion about the consequences of their actions.
Prior to mediation we provide one-on-one lessons in positive conflict resolution with each juvenile client.
